Changing Payment Method

Learn how to update your payment method and billing information

Overview

You can update your payment method at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Changes take effect immediately for future charges.

How to Change Payment Method

  1. Log in to your AgentClaw dashboard
  2. Find any active instance
  3. Click "Manage Subscription"
  4. You'll be redirected to Stripe Customer Portal
  5. Click "Update payment method" or "Add payment method"
  6. Enter new card details
  7. Click "Save"
  8. Set as default payment method if prompted

When Changes Take Effect

  • Immediately: New payment method is saved
  • Next billing cycle: New card will be charged
  • Current period: Already-charged amount stays on old card

Managing Multiple Payment Methods

You can add multiple payment methods:

  1. Add new card in Stripe portal
  2. Set one as default (used for all subscriptions)
  3. Remove old cards if no longer needed

Updating After Failed Payment

If a payment fails:

  1. Update payment method immediately
  2. Stripe will retry the charge automatically
  3. Check email for payment confirmation
  4. Instance will continue running after successful payment

Updating Billing Information

To update billing address or email:

  1. Go to Stripe Customer Portal
  2. Update billing details
  3. Changes appear on future invoices

Security

  • All payment details handled by Stripe (PCI compliant)
  • AgentClaw never sees or stores your card number
  • Secure HTTPS connection for all transactions

Troubleshooting

Can't Access Stripe Portal

  • Ensure you're logged in to AgentClaw
  • Try from a different instance if you have multiple
  • Clear browser cache and try again
  • Contact support if issue persists

Payment Still Failing

  • Contact your bank - may be blocking international charges
  • Try a different card
  • Ensure sufficient funds available
  • Check card hasn't expired
