Cancelling Subscription

Learn how to cancel your subscription and what happens to your data

Overview

You can cancel your AgentClaw subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.

How to Cancel

  1. Log in to your AgentClaw dashboard
  2. Find the instance you want to cancel
  3. Click "Manage Subscription"
  4. You'll be redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal
  5. Click "Cancel plan"
  6. Confirm your cancellation
  7. You'll receive an email confirmation

What Happens After Cancellation

Immediate Effects

  • Your subscription is marked as cancelled
  • No future charges will occur
  • You'll receive a cancellation confirmation email

During the Active Period

Your instance continues running until:

  • The end of your current billing period, plus
  • A 3-day grace period

Example: If you cancel on January 15th and your billing renews on January 20th, your instance runs until January 23rd.

After the Grace Period

  • Your instance is automatically stopped
  • Configuration and environment variables are preserved for 30 days
  • You can restart by subscribing again within 30 days

After 30 Days

  • Instance configuration is permanently deleted
  • Environment variables are securely erased
  • Logs are removed from our systems
  • Only billing records are retained (for tax compliance)

Cancelling Multiple Instances

If you have multiple instances, you need to cancel each subscription separately:

  1. Each instance has its own Stripe subscription
  2. Navigate to each instance's "Manage Subscription" page
  3. Cancel each one individually

Refund Policy

Subscriptions are non-refundable. No refunds for partial periods. See our refund policy for details.

Alternatives to Cancelling

Stop Your Instance Instead

If you want to pause service temporarily:

  • Stop your instance without cancelling
  • Keep your subscription active (continue paying $9.99 or $8.33/month)
  • Your configuration is preserved
  • Restart anytime instantly
  • No AI provider costs while stopped

Switch to Monthly Plan

If you're on yearly and want more flexibility:

  1. Cancel your yearly subscription
  2. Wait for it to expire
  3. Create a new monthly subscription

Note: You'll lose the yearly discount.

Reactivating After Cancellation

Within 30 Days

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Find the stopped instance
  3. Click "Reactivate Subscription"
  4. Complete payment through Stripe
  5. Your instance will restart with preserved configuration

After 30 Days

Your configuration is deleted, so you'll need to:

  1. Create a new instance
  2. Re-enter all environment variables
  3. Reconfigure settings

Data Deletion

When you cancel and don't reactivate within 30 days:

  • Permanently deleted: Instance configuration, environment variables, logs
  • Retained for 90 days: Database backups (for disaster recovery)
  • Retained for 7 years: Billing records (tax compliance)

FAQ

Will I be charged after cancelling?

No. Once cancelled, you won't be charged again. You keep access until the end of your current billing period plus 3 days.

Can I cancel and restart the same day?

Yes, but you'll be charged for a new subscription. The old subscription will continue until its end date.

What happens to my AI provider API keys?

They're deleted from our systems after 30 days. You can use them elsewhere in the meantime.

Can I export my configuration before cancelling?

Yes, you can manually copy your environment variables and settings. We don't currently offer automated export.
